Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!
We are excited to welcome new and returning students to another year of learning and growth at Help Anchor Academy! Below, you’ll find important details to help you prepare for the first day of school on August 18, 2025.

Key Dates & Orientation
First Day of School: Monday, August 18, 2025
Orientation: Wednesday, August 13, 2025 (Evening Session)
– Required for all new families and highly encouraged for returning families.
Live Classes Begin: Monday, August 18, 2025
Getting Started
Help Anchor Academy operates as a virtual school, with Canvas as our primary learning platform. Students will also use Microsoft Teams for live sessions and Gradelink for progress tracking.
Platform Access
Canvas: Access assignments, schedules, and announcements.
Microsoft Teams: Join live class sessions.
Gradelink: Track grades, attendance, and report cards.
A detailed guide on logging into these platforms will be provided before the first day.
Technology & Materials
Required Technology
Laptop or Desktop Computer (Recommended for the best experience)
High-Speed Internet (Minimum 5-10 Mbps recommended)
Headphones or Earbuds (For better focus during live sessions)
Google Account (Required for Quizlet, Khan Academy, and Edpuzzle access)
School Supplies
Notebooks & Folders
Pencils, Crayons, Markers
Scissors & Glue
Printer (Optional but recommended for worksheets)
Class Schedules
Flex Students: Complete assignments at your own pace with no live sessions.
Live School Students: Attend live classes Monday - Thursday from 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM EST
Daily schedules and subject breakdowns will be shared in Canvas before school begins
Tuition & Payment Information
K-5 Flex Program: $400/month (August - May)
Live School Option: $600/month
Homeschool Tutoring Program: $250/month
Payments will be processed through Procare (or another selected tuition management system). Additional details will be provided before the school year begins.
Student Expectations & Policies
Attendance & Participation
✔️ Live students must attend all scheduled sessions unless excused.
✔️ Students should actively participate and complete assignments on time.
✔️ Respectful behavior is required in all online interactions.
Assignment Submission (Canvas)

Navigate to the assigned module.

Complete the activity (worksheet, quiz, video, etc.).

Click “Submit Assignment.”

Upload any required documents and submit.
Late assignments will impact grading, and parents will be notified of missed work.
Parent Involvement & PTA
We encourage parents to get involved!
Join the Help Anchor Academy PTA (HAAPTA) to support school events, fundraising, and student activities.
More details will be shared during orientation.

What if I miss a live session?
All live classes will be recorded and uploaded to Canvas for later viewing.
What if I have technical difficulties?
If you experience any issues, contact our support team via email or message your teacher on Canvas.
How do I check grades and attendance?
Log into Gradelink to view student progress, attendance, and report cards.
